Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you to all our parents and volunteers who contribute their time and talents. You truly make Herman Street Public School a caring place to learn. Whether you can contribute an hour a month or a couple of hours a week, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your schedule. All volunteers require a criminal background check for safety purposes.  Forms for the CBC are available through the school office.

Some of our current volunteer opportunities include:

• Classroom Help- Our Primary classes really benefit from volunteers. If you have a couple of hours per week, these grades would appreciate your help with offering reading help to younger students; lesson set-up/clean up and more.  Please contact your child's teacher.
• Library Help- Our library is run by volunteers who assist students with research, re-shelf books, and keep the area clean and ready for classes.
• Extracurricular - We're always grateful to parent volunteers who assist with chaperoning school trips.
